The influence for this work is ancient Egyptian art, particularly the concept of the “composite pose”. The side profile of the body is presented in view and painted using soft pinks and purples to create a dreamy and ethereal landscape for this fictional character to inhabit. I have used a hat to disguise the figure and create strong shapes within the composition.
