Woman at Rest

$850.00

Woman at Rest

Oil on canvas
50 x 60 cm
$850, framed in Tasmanian Oak

A reclining female form dissolves into rhythmic, gestural strokes — soft flesh tones pulsing against ribbons of sienna, violet, and electric pink. The figure is at ease, suspended in a cocoon of abstracted drapery and light. Woman at Rest explores the power of repose, inviting the viewer to contemplate the body not as object but as landscape — fluid, present, and unguarded.

I acknowledge and pay my respects to the land and the traditional families of the Yugambeh region of South East Queensland, and to their Elders past, present, and emerging. The Yugambeh region is home to families who identify as Kombumerri, Mununjali, Wangerriburra, among others. As the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I create, I honor their enduring connection to this place. I extend my respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
